ICEMUN 2026 is the third Inter Cultural Education Model United Nations — a student-led conference hosted at The University of Hong Kong. It exists to give secondary students, particularly those from local schools, a serious place to debate, draft, and practise statecraft without a fee.

540 delegates took part. Including chairs, admins, press, and guests, ICEMUN 2026 brought together over 600 participants from more than 95 schools — one of the three largest Model UN conferences in Hong Kong.

Welcome to the third iteration of ICEMUN 2026.

We meet when our world is facing unprecedented global issues and differences in ideologies. We believe that in this time of social turmoil, dialogue is more important than ever. Bringing the best of youth change-makers and students from the local and the global community, ICEMUN 2026 is committed to role-modelling the principles of the United Nations for the younger generation. At The University of Hong Kong on 26–27 September 2026, we are dedicated to cultivating participants' confidence to go beyond the norm, understand the current situation from an empathetic perspective, and develop new ideas for solving contemporary issues.

Whether it is your first or tenth conference, ICEMUN holds an intellectually challenging setting to help you think critically, express yourselves fearlessly, and shape genuine global citizenship.

As we stated earlier, the dream behind ICEMUN is that every student should have the opportunity to engage in diplomacy no matter where he or she is from. That is why ICEMUN is: student-built, student-run, and free for every delegate. We believe in the floor for anyone who dares to walk on it.

How much does it cost to join ICEMUN 2026?

ICEMUN 2026 is free of charge for all secondary students. Admission is subject to a fully refundable deposit of HKD 200 per delegate.

Who can participate in ICEMUN?

ICEMUN is open to secondary school students. Delegates may register as a school delegation, an individual delegation, or an observer. Chair and Press Corps applications are also available. Over 70% of ICEMUN 2026 delegates came from local schools.

Is ICEMUN affiliated with HKU?

Yes. ICEMUN lists HKBUMUN (Hong Kong Baptist University Model United Nations), YWCMUN (Ying Wa College Model United Nations) and KIITMUN (KIIT International Model United Nations) as inter-conference partners on its Partnership page. These partnerships allow the conferences to share resources and cross-promote events.
